Ko Lanta is located in the southern part of Krabi province, almost facing the mainland of neighbouring Trang province further south, so it can be accessed from several points. From Krabi Town A regular ferry operates twice daily from the new passenger terminal at Khlong Chilat, located approx. 3 kms west of the town centre. Boats depart at 10:30 and 13:30. and arrive at Saladan (the northern tip of Ko Lanta) about 2 hours later. From May to October the boats from Krabi to Ko Lanta do not operate due to strong winds and high waves in the monsoon season. During this time, public minibuses take over the transportation between Krabi and Ko Lanta, which involves driving and two short car ferries across rivers. Lanta Klong Nin Beach Resort is a 5-minute walk from Klong Nin Beach. There are also various shopping and dining options within walking distance of the resort. |
